Sound Familiar? Common auto parts challenges facing our Members: We've conducted dozens of interviews with NEOSO Members about their auto parts programs. We found that there are many common frustrations regarding how our Members buy and utilize parts to service their automobile fleets. Here are some of the things they've had to say:

  • Multiple Vendors: "To get the parts we need, we buy from local garages, dealerships, NAPA and others. It's an administrative pain to deal with all these vendors, and I know we could do better, but I just don't have the time."
  • Stocking: "Too often, we don't have that critical part that we need in stock, so we have to send one of our $30+ an hour mechanics out to find and pick up that part. In the meantime, the vehicle is off the street, and our mechanic is shopping, not working on cars."
  • Unused Inventory: "We've got money tied up in bunch of parts we don't need and will never use. Even worse, those parts are taking up valuable space in our shop."
  • Poor Quality: "A lot of the parts we buy and install don't last as long as they should. They aren't OEM quality. The end result? It costs us more money to fix the vehicles again, and those cars spend less time on the street because they're in the shop."

NEOSO'S AUTO PARTS & INVENTORY OPTIMIZATION PROGRAM

NEOSO went to the market to develop and procure an OEM auto-parts program that addresses these frustrations AND provides substantial discounting to NEOSO Members.
NEOSO:

  1. Identified an OEM dealer who:
    • Is authorized to sell in the geographic area of NEOSO's members.
    • Carries OEM parts for both Fords and General Motors.
    • Offers a wide range of high-quality services as well as the actual parts.
  2. Developed a holistic program that includes:
    • Daily delivery for stock parts and special orders. Same-day delivery is available.
    • Inventory optimization. A specialist will work with each Member to identify the optimal inventory to keep in stock given the size, age and condition of the Member's fleet.
    • Unused inventory buy-back. If you don't need the part and don't want it in your garage anymore, we'll buy it back.
    • Warranty and return services. We'll pick up your warranty and return claims, process the paperwork for you and credit your account.
    • OEM Quality The products available to you are OEM parts. They are the highest quality available. They last longer and perform better than lower quality knock-offs.

HOW DO WE SIGN UP?

Implementing this program in your organization is easy.

  1. Contact us to schedule a visit. We'll review the program with you in detail and answer any questions you may have.
  2. Working together, we'll develop an optimized inventory stocking plan for your fleet. We'll also develop your pricing plan based on the NEOSO contract and your parts needs. Your customized program will be incorporated into the NEOSO contract through an Offering Addendum.
  3. Execute the Offering Addendum and you'll be able to take advantage of the NEOSO Auto Parts and Inventory Optimization Program immediately.
  4. We'll provide you and your staff with the training and education necessary to utilize the program and the ordering system. And you'll have two options for ordering: your account representative can place orders for you when he or she visits periodically, or you can place the orders directly.
  5. Your account representative will also visit with you on a regular basis to ensure that the program is meeting your needs and exceeding your expectations.

THE BENEFITS OF LEVERAGE

NEOSO negotiated a number of special considerations into our contract with the auto parts distributor. We've achieved a combination of discounts and quality that is only available through the power of our membership working together.

  1. Time Savings. NEOSO negotiated a contract that includes daily delivery of stock and special-order auto parts. No more sending the mechanic to find a needed part.
  2. Better Pricing. The OEM contract includes several discounting components:
    • Initial price discount simply for buying through NEOSO's contract.
    • Additional discount for ordering parts online.
    • Additional discount for stocking additional parts such as brakes and filters.
    • Additional discount for growing dollar volume every six months.
  3. Group Discounts. Collectively, NEOSO Members achieve a rebate if our combined purchases hit the $1.5 million mark in a single year. That rebate is even greater if we hit the $3 million mark.
  4. Subject Matter Expertise. The NEOSO contract also includes ready access to auto parts inventory specialists who work with Members to optimize their on-hand inventory.
  5. NEOSO also negotiated a series of additional price breaks and rebates.
