Common Question
Q

How is NEO|SO funded?

A

NEO|SO is a not-for-profit organization and raised its initial funding from a wide range of Northeast Ohio foundations, including The Cleveland Foundation, the Fund for Our Economic Future, and the GAR Foundation. Our objective is to achieve self-sustainability through earned income – NEO|SO receives a small percentage of the dollars our Members spend through our programs as an administrative fee that is paid by the suppliers. NEO|SO uses these earnings to underwrite our existing operation and to invest in the creation of new product and service offerings.

What's New
  • NEO|SO Seeks to Grow Successful Bulk Road Salt Program Time is running out to commit to area Bulk Salt Consortium and NEO|SO is no different. Committed participants in the program are up significantly from last year (including the overall tonnage) and we’re anticipating more communities will be joining in advance of NEO|SO’s early-August bid announcement.
  • NEO|SO is Developing an Office Products Program NEO|SO continues to develop an office products program for launch in the third quarter of 2008. Why is NEO|SO pursuing office products?
  • NEO|SO Investigates Prescription Drugs Program NEOSO is investigating the fundamentals necessary to form a group purchasing effort for Pharmacy Benefits Management. "What is Pharmacy Benefits Management?" you ask?
  • NEO|SO Conducting Survey for Future Programs NEO|SO is conducting a survey of OFIC and NEO|SO Members on programs that may be of interest for cooperative purchasing.
  • NEO|SO Welcomes Newest Members NEO|SO extends its warmest welcome to its newest Members: City of Lorain and Hambden Township! These new Members have already begun researching NEO|SO programs and how they can add value to their operations.
